do you (or does your business) want convergent technology workstations? my startup couldn't pay my salary, so they partially paid me by bequeathing (is that a verb?) me two networks of workstations. now since my local supermarket doesn't accept payment in workstations, i'd like to try to trade some of these slick workstations for something my landlord will accept for rent (i.e. cash). now, since part of the value of these workstations is that they net together, this may be more appropriate for someone who either already has some CT equipment or wants to buy more than one of these from me (although i certainly wouldn't be upset if i had to keep one, and i'd gladly sell them individually to you, even if you only want one). the three best workstations i have are the iws models. these are the products known as b-21 in the burroughs world, i believe. they have a very nice 34-line screen with awesome bit-mapped graphic displays. they are all in perfect condition, and they come with the ctos operating system, which is a real live operating system (not dos or cpm) with multi-tasking, and memory-partioning available. they have close to a meg of ram in them - i'll count the chips if you're really interested. they also have software on them -- i'll find out what i can give you without getting into trouble with ct. one has a 20 meg hard disk and 8" floppy, one has 10 meg with 8" floppy, and one is a cluster workstation. the first two are master workstations, and each one can control an entire network of workstations. they have disk servers and file servers. this makes them valuable. they all come with rs-422 cluster cables, power cords, etc. my former company paid $17,350, $13,854, and $5,120 for them. i'm asking $7,499, $4,999, and $1,999 for them. call me at home (415 3232 852). if i'm not there, leave a message on the ubiquitous answering machine. -steve schramm -- {allegra, hplabs, ihnp4}!oliveb!tymix!schramm
