Gordon (and everybody else), I believe I draw the distinction between "mind" and brain in the following way. The brain is matter and chemical/electromagnetic reactions and whatever else goes on in there. The mind is a thing which all those dead Greek people defined to exist. Therefore, since I define it, it exists. Seriously though, I consider the mind to be the effect of the brain on the person--the controlling mechanism. Then again, I also believe there is a part of a person which exists separately from this mechanism though. This is the part of me that just sits there and watches. Wadda ya think?
