You all seem to be referring to a language named "S". Where is a description
for it.

"S" is not a language; it is an interactive system for statistical
analysis, and it supports graphic displays, user-hidden data
representation and storage, and all sort of goodies, so that
statisticians can do their thing without worrying about how we
computer jockeys do our thing. Examples of things one might do
with S include regression analysis, prob. density function fitting,
scatter plots, and so on. It was/is written at Bell Labs and is
	available from them.
