[net.math.stat] ASA Subsection on Statistical Graphics

At the Joint Statistical Meetings in August, there was considerable
debate concerning the formation of an ASA subsection on Statistical
Graphics (particularly during the business meeting for the subsection
on Statistical Computing).  I never heard what the Committee on
Subsections decided on this.  Does anyone out there know?  What's
the latest word?

The Committee on Sections approved the proposal. Now it goes to the
Board.
