From: ddw (David Wright) To: net-misc This is a poll of readers of SIGPLAN Notices. All responses by MAIL ONLY PLEASE! If mail fails, give up. Do not post to the net, as this is apt to bias the results! Okay. Back in the April issue, the editor of SIGPLAN Notes, R.L. Wexelblat, reprinted a number of poems that were originally produced for the 1982 Cornell CS Holiday Party. However, his spine turned to jelly on one of them and he zapped out a name. What I would like to know is this: if you read the article, and you did not \know/ what name was deleted (this poem was posted to net.poems at one point, so if you saw it there you're disqualified) what name did you \think/ was deleted? If you had no idea, that's also a valid answer. I'll post the replies (if I get any) and the answer in a couple of weeks. I repeat, replies by mail only. Anyone responding over the net will be keelhauled. (I'm not sure if this belongs in net.misc, but it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else.)
