[net.math.stat] want unix plot filters

hubert@entropy.UUCP (Steve Hubert) (11/30/84)

I am sure there are several enhanced UNIX plot commands out there.
I am mostly just looking for plot filters I don't have but
improvements to plot or graph or whatever would also be welcome.
In particular, we have the following graphics devices: VT125, LA100,
VT220, HP7470, HPsomething_else, Versatec V80, and Tek10 emulators.
We also have Macs running MacTerminal and GriffinTerminal.
Do you have drivers for those devices that you can give to me?
We are running 4.2 on a VAX 750. Thanks.

The current BRL UNIX System V emulation for 4.2BSD includes PLOT(4)
filters for the following, in addition to the standard devices:
Any Tektronix 4010 emulator (uses a new utility "tekmode"
for getting into and out of graphics mode)
Imagen Imprint-10 via its Tektronix emulation and MDQS spooler
Versatec D1200A via MDQS spooler (contact dpk@brl-tgr.arpa for
		information on obtaining MDQS)
Megatek 7250 "Whizzard" color 3-D interactive display
We extended (upward-compatibly) UNIX PLOT to support color and 3-D.
Very soon there will probably be an Adage (Ikonas) RDS-3000 filter,
a "full plot definition to simple stroke subset" converter, and a 3-D
general rotation, translation, scaling, and clipping processor.

Of course UNIX System V has a whole nother graphics system (GPS-based)
as well.
