[net.math.stat] scatterplot brushing on the macintosh

luke@umnstat.UUCP (Luke Tierney) (01/21/86)

I have written a simple program for brushing a scatterplot matrix on
the mac (See for example W. S. Chambers, "The Elements of Graphing
Data" for a description of this interactive graphical technique). The
program was written in sumacc C, so source is available. Since this is
of limited interest to the net as a whole I am just posting this
notice rather than the program itself. If you would like a copy
please send a macintosh disc and a self-addressed stamped envelope to

Please indicate whether you would like a copy of the source as well.

I have also written a program for doing perspective plots (as in the S
function persp) localy on the mac - no line hiding but relatively fast
redrawing to allow you to easily look at a function of two variables
from a number of different angles. A picture using a 20 x 20 grid is
redrawn in about 2 seconds.

I gave the incorrect e-mail address in the original posting. The correct
