As requested, I created the group "net.tv.soaps" several days ago. Since then, I have not seen ONE article appear. If this situation does not change by next week, I shall remove the group. USE IT OR LOSE IT! -- Brian A. Ehrmantraut {ihnp4, decvax, ucbvax}!allegra!fisher!bae

I posted an article yesterday stating that my soap updates would start appearing here today (May 10). Actually, I don't give a damn whether or not you zap this newsgroup. It was not created for my convenience. It was created for the convenience of the net.tv readers who didn't wish to see my soap updates (I believe I am the author of the majority of the *offensive* articles). But, since the newsgroup has been created, don't zap it before the newsgroup has even propagated across the net! According to my estimates, at 2 articles per day, 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year, this newsgroup will have 520 articles in a years time. That is a volume of traffic at least twice that of net.tv.drwho. And that is assuming that no one besides me posts here. Look, I understand that someone has to monitor the goings on of the net, but why should this newsgroup be subjected to tighter restrictions than many others (e.g. see Rich Rosen's articles on specialized newsgroups). In other words, GET OFF OUR BACKS!!!! --> Allen <-- ihnp4!ihuxb!alle Flames cheerfully accepted.
