+ All My Children 5/8 [I would have combined Tuesday and Wednesday's updates, but the powers that be have decreed that they want traffic in this newsgroup, so I am going to give them some!] [The first segment was pre-empted by an ABC News Report on the Russians pulling out of the Olympics and the terrorist attack in Montreal (?)] As Donna and Edna are having dinner, Donna tells her that she is falling for Zach. Meanwhile, Chris discovers Zach listening at the door while he is talking to Brooke. Later as Chris is leaving, Zach tries to pump him for information. Chris grabs him and tells him "If I ever catch you snooping around me again, I'll cut your throat!" Nina, Cliff, Daisy, and Linda prepare for the party. Cliff is reluctant, but after he gets there he has an enjoyable time. Linda is worried about Chris' violent temper. Mike visits Mark (who is preparing for the party). Mark tells him that he could getting himself into serious trouble if he goes to the Chateau. Meanwhile, Joanna tells Ross that Mike is on his way to the Chateau. Ross is very angry with her. Meanwhile, Adam introduces Erica to Hubert Drydock and his son Roger. Drydock is a wealthy Australian publisher who owns many newspapers and magazines. He just bought Tempo magazine and intends to spice up its news coverage with a slant towards gossip (sound familiar?? Hint: Who now owns the Chicago Sun Times??). Mike shows up at the Chateau. He tells Erica he wants to see her. She gives him the keys to her mother's house and tells him she will meet him later. She tells Adam that she is going to lie down in the powder room (we don't have beds in the mens room!). Joanna tells Adam that Mike and Erica went back to the Chandler house for a rendezvous. Adam tears out of the Chateau like a man possessed. Alfred causes quite a scene with Hillary (he can't even stand). Roger Drydock steps in and starts pushing Alfred around. Hillary pleads with him to leave Alfred alone, but Roger won't. Tad steps up and punches Roger, knocking him unconscious. --> Allen <-- ihnp4!ihuxb!alle
