I'm sure I'm leaving plenty of detail out. --smw ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The show opens with Dominique Devereaux (Diahann Carroll) singing in the bar/nightclub of La Mirage. Just for kicks, I guess. She and Alexis have an ambiguous little chat -- Alexis doesn't seem to know who she is, but, says Dominique, "it bothers you that I'm here, doesn't it." Alexis asks the fellow at the counter how long Ms. Devereaux is registered to stay at La Mirage. "Indefinitely." Sammy Jo is waiting alone in bed in the apartment of Morgan, the detective. The doorman or whoever recognized her as his old girlfriend and let her in; Morgan comes in, is surprised as hell to see her. They reminisce that it was too bad their (!) plan to send Claudia over the edge failed. Morgan asks, "what if I tell them everything." "You'll never see me again." "Uh, just kidding. You know I want you... more than anything..." He comes across as an easily manipulated weakling. Dex stops by Blake's office as the representative from a partnership to buy Blake's football team. Offers a certified check for $10 million, for a property worth $50 million; Blake crumples it up and tells Dex to leave. Kirby visits Alexis' apartment, to finish what she started. Pulls her gun. Alexis is scared at first, then sees that Kirby's hands are shaking... and bluffs her way through it. "Go ahead and shoot. Well, go ahead. <pause> Put down the gun, Kirby." Trembling, Kirby puts it down. "Aren't you going to call the police?" "No," says Alexis, playing with the gun, "not if you agree to drop Adam, and go back to Paris where you came from. If you don't I'll cut off Adam without a cent." Preparations for Fallon and Jeff's wedding. Fallon tells Steven about her terrible headaches, in confidence. She doesn't want to spoil anything. Blake and Krystle in Blake's office. Blake on the phone -- "Dammit, you'll regret this!" Click. The bank has foreclosed... Denver-Carrington is bust. "I built this business... they'll find out that they can't run it, and then they'll beg me to come back! And, by God, I'll see them on their knees!" Krystle comforts him and leaves. Blake's secretary announces Dominique. "Who?" And D.D. comes in uninvited. Tells Blake that he really should get to know her... they are two of a kind. Blake wants her the hell out -- leaves himself, leaving her alone in the office. She looks around and says, "Won't it just knock their socks off when they find out I'm a Carrington." Blake's secretary sees her out. Kirby is packing, and Adam comes in. She tells him she doesn't love him, and she's leaving. He's hurt badly -- and strikes back, that she was never anything more than dirt, he should have known all along; slaps her. "What do you want to do, rape me again?" Adam stalks out, passing Sammy Jo -- who has been listening at the door to all of this. Smiling. Dex comes uninvited to Alexis' apartment. Says it was unfair of him to have a double standard, and he needs her. And he'll have her -- on HER terms. That's what Alexis wanted to hear; they kiss and make up, and Alexis asks him to be her escort to the wedding that night. Adam is in the exercise room. Sammy Jo comes in, asks him to help her with some exercises, and ends up in his arms (of course). Steven walks in on the scene; asks Adam to leave. He does, saying, "Good luck with her." Sammy Jo wants Danny back from Steven, admits that she's out to hook Adam if she can. Says Steven, "I'll be damned if that brother of mine will be my baby's father!" Krystle and Alexis at the hairdresser. Yet another catfight; Krystle dumps a bowl of beauty mud in Alexis' face for gossiping to the beautician that Krystle's upcoming baby isn't Blake's. Claudia urges Steven to consider allowing Sammy Jo joint custody... because there's a very good chance of losing the baby completely if the case goes to court. The wedding... Fallon is being groomed by three maids, incessantly chattering, and her headache starts up. She yells at them to go away. Meanwhile, Blake and Dex have a short encounter -- "I hope you don't mind me coming, Blake, I was invited by the mother of the bride." "As soon as it's over, you get the hell out of my house." The wedding march starts, and everyone waits for Fallon to come down the stairs. She doesn't. Krystle, Blake, and Jeff go up, and find her GONE. Looking out the window (terrible storm, much thunder & lightning!) they see her car pulling out FAST. Jeff rushes after her in his car, but after a while is blocked by a truck and can't catch up to her. Back at the house, a policeman wants to see Alexis alone. With Dex, they retire to the library... Alexis is placed under arrest for the murder of Mark Jennings. We see the matron lock her away, in a cage with the other whores. Back to the road; Fallon isn't in control, speeds around a curve, and into the headlights of an oncoming truck. Freeze frame on her scream.
