(Well look, at least I'm keeping it to net.misc.) Sorry to belabour the issue, but Alan Wexelblat (ittvax!wex) made some statements which need correcting: (P) is used to indicate milk-only items, and (K) is indicative of meat-only items. Not true. (K), or a K in a circle, is an alternative rabbinic supervision that is also acceptable to just about all observant Jews. K without a circle is not a certification mark, and is just a claim by the manufacturer that the product is Kosher with no organizational supervision. (U)P means not only that the product is Kosher, but that it is kosher for Passover (which requires much stricter supervision and the complete absence of any leaven (yeast, bread, etc.)). If the product is neither milk nor meat, it will be labelled with the word "Parve", or "Pareve". The Canadian "COR" certification comes with a "D" (e.g., COR 112D) to indicate that the product is dairy. If it's not marked "D", it's pareve or meat (and it's usually pretty obvious when it's meat).
