All My Children 5/15
Linda has lunch with Chris. He asks her to go to his place, but she refuses.
Meanwhile, Tom is having lunch with Donna [same as Chris and Linda]. He is
drunk. When she points out Chris as she is leaving, later he throws him out
of the Goal Post.
Joanna tells Adam about Erica and the Virginia Graham show. Adam calls Erica
and reassures her about the movie. She persuades him not to come to NYC.
Later, she sees Mike at her place. He asks her if she is happy. She says
very happy. Later, she tells Olga that Mike is "very much like Nick Davis."
Brooke explains that she didn't do much for Chris. Nina relents somewhat.
Josh tells Ross that Palmer was asking questions about the Chandlers in
Chicago. Ross tells him not to mention it to Adam. Ross confronts Palmer.
He tells him "If I have to choose between you and Adam, I will choose Adam."
He and Palmer play tennis after Ross makes a date with Nina for tomorrow for
tennis. Later, Daisy and Palmer talk about Adam. She thinks he is very
like Pete Cooney (aka Palmer). Palmer recounts how he found his name in
a London telephone directory.
Joanna and Ross talk about Lottie's death. Ross doesn't remember his mother
very well. Later Joanna is talking with Adam. He says, "If I found Pete
Cooney alive today, I'd kill him on the spot!"

P.S. Erica mentioned Nick Adams. Anyone like to provide some information

Allen: That was Nick Davis that Erica mentioned; he was her only true love long ago. I can't remember the sequence of him and her marriages, but he was somewhere in between them. He never really returned her feelings and she never got over him completely. He now is a big shot with some company (Unirest?) in Chicago. I remember him making a short comeback for a few days when Erica was in jail for the murder of Kent. B. Walsh (That show's been on forever it seems!)

Nick Davis is one of Erica's ex-husbands (I think her second?). He used to own the Chateau. He and Erica are still good friends, although she was angry with him for a while for not helping her when she was "on the run" after shooting Kent. He lives in Chicago. M.

First, let me thank you for posting the AMC summaries! I appreciate them as I do not have a VCR. Second, about Nick Davis. Wow, he's an old character. Nick was one of Erica's early husbands. He was also the original owner/founder of the Chateau restaurant. Nick was(?) a very good friend of Mona's , and 'like a son' to Ruth. The latter always puzzled me for Ruth doesn't seem much older than Nick. Nick was last mentioned (to my knowledge) as moving to Chicago. Before he opened the Chateau I seem to recall that he had a bad reputation, but it's been so long, I can't remember too much about it. (this was back in the days of Tara and Phil(?)(originally played by the 'Apollo' on Battlestar Galactica? what was his name?) and Jeff and Erica -- when they were in school, yet-- and Phil went off to Vietnam, leaving Tara pregnant so Chuck married her...etc..etc..) Sorry this is so late, but I just discovered this newsgroup. Nick Davis was Erica's third husband. No. 1 was Jeff Martin and No. 2 was Phil Brent. Nick promised to marry Erica when she was very ill or very depressed, I forget which. It pulled her through but didn't last. How could anyone stay married to Erica? As someone pointed out, she's never really gotten over him. Nick Davis was also married to Anne Tyler Martin before she was married to Paul Martin. Remember her? She got killed by some gangsters. Nick was married before that to Kitty, who was Kelly's twin sister and Lincoln Tyler's wife before he married Kelly. Kitty also died, from one of those lingering soap-opera diseases. Am I the only one who assumed the person in the attic is Adam's wife, or did I jump to conclusions because of "Jane Eyre"?
