All My Children 5/23

Chris and Brooke are talking in her office when Tom arrives - very drunk.
He accuses them of having an affair and tells Brooke he has to talk to
her. Chris waits outside. Craig Adams comes in and tells Tom to leave.
Tom refuses. He finally leaves after Brooke threatens to call the police.

Joe and Ruth wait for Tad in Joe's office. Finally Tad arrives - 2
hours late. They tell him he has to pay back ALL the money that Edna
gave him. He doesn't want to, but finally decides he doesn't want
to move out, so he gives in. Later he tells Bob that he doesn't feel
"as bad as I should."

Liza and Marion have lunch at McKay's. She says that she doesn't feel
comfortable in PV - she feels like she's in "enemy territory." Then
Liza sees Sam. Marian leaves so that they can talk. She tells Sam
that she is over him. Later she goes to the Student Grill and runs
into Tad there. After they insult each other, she dumps a Coke on him.

Adam tells Joanna the story he told Erica about her having mental
problems and that he promised his sister he'd take care of her.
Joanna's feelings were hurt.

Mike and Erica talk at her apartment. He tells her that he can't eat or
sleep or concentrate on his work lately. Erica, "Maybe we can get together
sometime." Mike offers her a ride back to PV, but she refuses. She
calls a limo and then calls Adam. After Erica hangs up, Adam is furious
with Joanna for not telling him Erica called earlier. He had asked her
twice specifically if Erica had called. He told her that she'd better
watch her step or he'll throw her out.

Ross arrives at Palmer's with the phony plans for Phoebe. Palmer goes
to see Phoebe. After he shows her the plans, she signs the purchase
agreements. Palmer takes the papers to Adam. Meanwhile, Adam has
just told Philip, "If Palmer gets her signature, we'll by bulldozing
by the first of the week!" While Palmer is talking to Adam, Daisy calls.
She tells him that Walter Hines, his attorney, called to say that the
letter of agreement with Adam, for 10% of the net, was never signed by
Adam. Palmer tells Adam, "You'll never get away with this!" Adam, "I
already have. Take it or leave it!" Later, Palmer threatens revenge.
