+ Ryan's Hope Monday June 11 - Wednesday June 13 Max meets with his three partners (Sabu and Hassid are 2 of them). They have each put up $250 million dollars in a scheme to control the world gold market. Max takes a one-of-a-kind precious Byzantine coin (solid, very pure gold) and breaks it into 4 pieces. The bank in Switzerland has been instructed to not allow access to the money from the scheme until the entire coin is presented to them. (BTW, the coin was issued for Emperor Constantine, who decreed that all coins after this one should have his likeness on them). Jill tells Roger, "I was wondering if you saw my husband making love with my sister." Roger, "I saw it." Jill, "Nothing is going to come between us - not Maggie, not even Frank even though I still love him." Jill goes to the deli to see Maggie and tells Dave what Roger said. Dave doesn't believe it until Jill tells him that Roger and Maggie were having an affair before he tried to rape her. Dave is very upset by this revelation. Later, Max meets with Frank and Maggie about the promotion for the hospital wing. Jill arrives, looking very bad, and asks to speak with Frank and Maggie. Max and Hutch listen and watch while they talk. Jill believes Roger's story. She tells Maggie that she told Dave what Roger said about her and Frank making love in the loft. Frank is furious with Jill, "Either you believe I haven't been unfaithful to you or this marriage is over." Frank leaves and goes home. Max returns and Jill tells him what Roger said. Max is doubtful that it is true. Jill tells him, "If Frank is with Maggie, then I don't want him." Jill calls Bess and asks her to come over and then she tells her what Roger said. Maggie rushes back to the deli. Dave, "Why did I have to hear it from Jill?!" Maggie tells him that she and Frank never slept together. Then, Dave asks her about the affair with Roger. Dave, "I wanted to be the only man in your life!" Maggie, "Tell me you still love me...believe in me...trust me." Dave, "I want to." Maggie, "That's not good enough." Maggie leaves. Johnno has just received a gift and an invite to the "Event of the Year." [BTW, for anyone who doesn't know, the EotY is of course the triumphant return of the *new* Delia] An invitation also arrived for Maggie with a large economy bottle of perfume. Roger received a large economy bottle of brandy. Frank tells Maggie to go back to Dave and tell him her feelings. She says, "I can't tell him that the man I love is in this house, and I can't have him because my sister got him first." They kiss passionately for a few seconds and then Maggie flees. The next morning, Dave regrets not telling Maggie he believed in her. Pru receives the letter from the lawyer [Frank], telling her that her sister can't see her. Pru is unhappy. Dave advises her to return the $200 money order with another letter asking to see her sister. Meanwhile, Sydney sees Pru on the videotape that Jack made at the deli. Laslo shows up with slides of the "3 Musketeers" meeting with Max. Jack and Jeremy guess that they are plotting to control the world gold market and they will likely ruin the economies of many 3rd world countries. Frank goes to see Roger at the hospital to persuade him to tell Jill the truth about what happened in the loft. Frank, "Maybe next time you won't be so lucky." Roger, "I'll rot in hell first! You've got lust in your heart and I'm gonna make you pay!" Frank tells Roger that they will settle this when he is out of the hospital. --> Allen <-- ihnp4!ihuxb!alle
