Brooke shows up and is surprised when Tom takes her into the room and locks the door. Hillary calls Langley and asks him for advice about Tad. As they are talking, Phoebe returns and is furious to find him there. Hillary tries to defend Langley, but Phoebe won't listen. Tad and Dottie meet in a motel room and make love. Palmer tells Daisy he is starting to remember Charlotte vaguely and also remembers the letter that her friend sent him. He says it completely slipped his mind after the war. Adam calls Erica (interrupting her and Mike in the throes) and tells her that airport is open. Erica returns. Meanwhile, Joanna tells Stuart to get rid of Erica the way he did Homer (she tells him how Lottie killed herself because Homer wouldn't marry her and so Stuart killed Homer). Erica discovers that Adam owns Classic Books (Mike's publisher) and guesses that he arranged for Mike to go to Tibet. She angrily goes to her room and is crying until Stuart comes into the room. He attacks her and starts to strangle her, until she sprays him in the face with hair spray. She flees downstairs to find - Adam. She turns around and Stuart is on the stairs, and then Josh grabs him and takes him away. Adam explains to Erica. Erica demands that Stuart be taken to an asylum, but Adam refuses.
