+ All My Children Monday August 20 - Wednesday August 22 Tad and Dottie talk. Tad suggests Dottie have an abortion. Dottie counters with the suggestion that they get married. Tad won't hear of it and Dottie threatens to have the baby and tell Hillary about everything. Tad, "I don't care!" Dottie tries to find Hillary, but can't. She meets Midge at McKays and Midge tells her to be realistic. Finally, Dottie goes to see Tad and tells him that she is going to have the abortion this afternoon. She asks Tad to go with her, but he tells her he has to watch Joey. After she leaves, Tad calls Hillary and makes a date with her for the afternoon, "Let's celebrate!" Dottie and Midge go to the clinic, but Dottie is too jittery and refuses to wait for "more than an hour" and leaves. Dottie and Midge go to McKays and just happen to be in the booth behind Tad and Hillary who are having lunch at McKays. Unbeknownst to Tad and Hillary, Dottie and Midge overhear Tad telling Hillary that Dottie was finally out of his life. Dottie decides to not tell Tad that she didn't get the abortion until "it's too late to do anything about it." Myrtle asks Langley to take a dress to Enid Nelson. When Langley arrives, he discovers Phoebe, Enid and Horace Willoughby (Enid's brother) having tea. Phoebe asks Horace to be her bridge partner in front of Langley. Then she leaves. Langley warns Horace to stay away from his wife. Later, Langley warns Phoebe that Horace only wants "one thing!" Horace stops by early for Phoebe and they chat. Then Horace and Phoebe go to Marian's for the bridge game. Meanwhile, Marian has asked Myrtle to be her partner, but Langley overhears. He fakes a phone call from Marian canceling the bridge game and then goes in Myrtle's place. Marian is shocked to see him, and Phoebe is very angry. She tells Horace to take her home immediately. Langley is very unhappy that his plan backfired. Tom goes to McKays to meet Donna for lunch, but calls him and cancels due to a broken ankle. As he is leaving, Tom talks with Chuck and finds out that Brooke will be having the baby in October. Tom takes carry-out chicken soup to Donna. Later, Chuck has lunch with Devon and tells her he is considering a job offer in Louisville, Ky. [That's pronounced Loo-ah-vul by the locals] Greg believes he saw Jenny at the cemetery. Alfred persuades Greg that he was only hallucinating out of grief. Greg isn't totally convinced, but he allows Alfred to take him home. The Sheriff from Willow Lake calls and asks Greg to help them find the power ski, but Greg refuses. Tony goes to the grave and talks to Jenny. Then he hears Liza behind him. He tells her that Jenny may return, but Liza thinks he's losing it. Tony goes to see Greg to tell him his theory (Liza told him about Greg), but Greg tells him to drop the subject. The Sheriff arrives to tell Greg that Jenny's death may not have been an accident - they recovered most of the power ski and found some strange wires on the motor. Tony frantically tries to kill that theory. "That's crazy! Who would want to hurt Jenny?" But the Sheriff is sure that the power ski was tampered with. Greg tells Alfred that "if the police don't find that guy - I will. And when I do, I'll tear him limb from limb." Tony is hurriedly packing to leave town when he gets a phone call from a woman "Tony, don't you know who this is? It's Jenny." Then she hangs up. [All we see is the back of a woman with dark brown hair similar to Jenny's] Tony, "there's no way I'm going to leave town now!" Meanwhile, Jesse goes to talk to Greg about the Steam Pit, but Greg tells him about Jenny's death being a murder. Jesse suggest that Tony might want to kill Greg. Jesse tells Greg about Tony pointing a shotgun at him when he saw the pictures of Jenny in Tony's apartment. Tony tells his sister, Judy, about the call from Jenny. Judy is very concerned by this turn of events. She tells Tony to call Dr. Levinson and not to talk to anyone else about this. Then Greg arrives and questions Tony about the bombing. Tony gives Greg his alibi and Judy grudgingly backs him up. Greg leaves. Tony breathes a sigh of relief, and Judy, "Are you relieved because he bought your pack of lies?" Tony tells her he's worried about his job. Jesse finally tells Greg about losing his share of the Steam Pit to Murray. Jesse and Greg go to the Steam Pit and find Murray, his goons, and Tamara (Jenny's replacement as manager). Greg goes after Murray when he slurs Jenny and Murray's goons subdue Greg and Jesse. Murray offers Greg $0.50 per dollar for his share of the SP. Greg refuses, and he and Jesse go to Jesse's. Jesse suggests violently throwing Murray out of the SP, Greg is ready to go along, but Angie cools them down. She suggests they call a lawyer. Greg is determined to go to the SP tonight. --> Allen <-- ihnp4!ihuxb!alle
