+ AMC Thursday August 23 - Friday August 24 Liza calls Cliff and tells him that the station manager wants to see him right away. The SM asks Cliff to take over the show for a while, since the other Dr. has an ulcer. Cliff tries to call Nina, but she refuses to talk. [More on that later] Cliff signs the contract and then goes out celebrating with Liza. Adam confronts Erica with Joanna's story. Erica denies everything and accuses Joanna of trying to get rid of her. Adam, "You're a tramp!...Tramp!" Erica storms out. Adam collapses with one of his headaches. Erica goes to see Mike. Mike, "I'll get you out of this." Adam wants proof and orders Joanna to get in touch with Mike's agent. By the time Adam reaches her, Mike has called her and asked her to cover for him. She tells Adam that Mike was staying in the El Dorado hotel in Puerto Vallarta - not Mexico City. Adam is furious with Joanna and tells her to get out. Joanna threatens to expose Stuart, but Adam counters by telling her that he has already moved Stuart where she can't find him. He also tells her that he will deny everything. Meanwhile, Erica and Mike make love. Then Mike tells her of his plan to dig up something on Adam to use as blackmail. He quizzes Erica about his back- ground, but she knows very little. Erica does mention that Palmer had found some information on Adam about Althea (his previous wife). Mike goes to the NY Times computer records to find out about Adam and Erica returns home. She is just in time to needle Joanna who is packed and waiting for Adam. Erica asks Adam about Althea, but Adam puts her off. Joanna pleads with Adam, but he tells her to get out. Joanna, "She can't do this!" Joanna warns Erica that she will ruin her life too. Erica receives a phone call from Mike who has "discovered a gold mine!" Zach overhears Palmer discussing his decision to tell Ross that he is his father. Zach rushes to Ross with the information. Ross won't pay until he gets proof. Ross talks to Adam who confirms that it is true and plays the recording of Palmer agreeing to Adam's terms on Ross. Ross is furious with Adam. Ross goes to Palmer and confronts him. Palmer tries to persuade Ross that he was going to tell him, but Ross won't believe it. "Stay the hell away from me!" Palmer goes to see Nina, tells her the whole story and asks her to talk with Ross. Nina tells him, "If I were Ross, I'd hate you too!" Nina is nearly hysterical when Cliff stumbles in and announces that he is going to bed. --> Allen <-- ihnp4!ihuxb!alle
