The TVGuide for that week said that a special character of AMC
would die and that a new character would be introduced into the soap
with strikingly similiar features to the then soon-to-be deceased character.
I thought that perhaps she was Greg's cousin because Enid's (sp?)
brother was coming, but they haven't mentioned the fact that he has
a daughter so that theory is shot. Did Liza actually hear Tony? (The
show was delayed because of Ferrara (sp) and her personal finances so the
recorder didn't get everything.) I think the mystery person definitely
did overhear Tony so she is probably trying to drive Tony over the edge.
(That shouldn't be too hard! :-)) Another point that Liza and the
mystery girl are different is that the credits at the end of the show
show 'The Girl' being played by someone other than Liza (I don't recall
the name right now.)
As for Adam, he has simply moved Stuart to a different institution
where Joanna cannot find him. My question is what theories does anyone
have about Adam's first wife, Alphea (sp?)? (I'm terrible with the spelling
of these names -- why can't the characters have simple names like Sue and
Judy! :-)) It was pointed out in the 8/28 episode that Alphea had the
bucks, not Adam, and the last she is heard of is on a skiing trip in
Switzerland. In that same episode, Joanna implies that she and Adam
had an affair while he was married. Therefore, my theory is that Alphea
found out about the affair, threatened to divorce him, and so Adam
'done her in'. Possibly, Adam will find out about Erica and Mike and
will suggest to Erica that he (Adam) and Erica go on a skiing trip in
Switzerland.
