+ All My Children Monday August 27 - Friday August 31 Nina and Ross meet and talk. They are very uncomfortable at first, but warm to each other later. Later, Nina tells Cliff about her "new" brother. Greg and Jesse go to the Steam Pit (they also asked their friends to show up there) to confront Murray. Jesse (in the DJ's booth) incites the crowd against Murray. Murray goes in back and hits the main power switch. Greg goes in back to check it out and is hit on the head by one of Murray's goons. As Greg lies unconscious, the candle he was carrying starts a fire which spreads quickly. Jesse finally rescues Greg and everyone (nearly) gets out. Once outside, someone notices that Hillary and Tad are missing (Tad went to talk to Edna about Dottie, leaving Hillary at the SP). Chris dashes back inside, finds Hillary and carries her out. The Steam Pit burns to the ground. Phoebe is so grateful to Chris that she rewards him with a check and after she discovers that he is out of a job, she hires him to be her chauffeur. She also promises to get his prison sentence lifted. Greg finally develops the pictures that he took of Jenny at Willow Lake. As he and Jesse look at them, they see what looks like Tony's car in one of the background shots. Greg enlarges the picture but the license plate is obscured with only the first letter "E" visible. Greg and Jesse become convinced that Tony may be guilty after Greg questions Tony about that day and Tony acts as if he is concealing something. Greg calls the sheriff of Willow Lake who also questions Tony. Meanwhile, Mona Tyler tells Myrtle that she is sure that she saw Jenny standing outside of the Boutique and Liza's friend Marcia claims that she also saw Jenny there. Myrtle doesn't see anything, but she finds a kerchief embroidered with a "J" outside the Boutique. Edna still thinks that Midge is pregnant until she overhears Dottie and Midge talking. She asks Dottie what is going on, but Dottie lies. Edna confronts Tad (pretending that she knows *everything*) and Tad asks Edna how the abortion went. Edna furiously storms out to confront Dottie. Tad tries to persuade Dottie to have the abortion, but she is determined to have the baby. Edna tells Tad that Dottie threw her birth control pills away and Tad realizes that Dottie got pregnant on purpose. Tom asks Donna to sing at the Goal Post and she agrees after some persuasion. Adam tells Ross about Stuart murdering Homer Selby and about Joanna's threats of blackmail. Meanwhile, Mike has discovered that Althea had lots of money and was constantly in the limelight until she just disappeared. Adam arrives at Erica's (just missing Mike). Later, Joanna arrives with a photo- copy of a page of Adam's diary where he admits trying to kill Althea (apparently his attempt at murder left her a vegetable). She threatens to expose him unless he signs over all his holding to her. Erica and Mike decide to go to Europe to try to find out what happened to Althea. Adam signs over his holding to Joanna who gloats at having her revenge on Adam *AND* Erica. --> Allen <-- ihnp4!ihuxb!alle
