+ Ryan's Hope Monday 9/17 - Friday 9/24 [Sorry I'm so late with this, but I have been swamped at work lately] Dave and Maggie arrange to pass messages using the newspaper crossword puzzles. Maggie overhears Jacqueline plotting with Laslo to steal the key to Jeremy's apartment. Laslo is jealous of Jacqueline's attentions to Jeremy, but he agrees to help her. Jacqueline and Max quarrel over her mother. Jacqueline asks Max, "How many men did you force her to sleep with for business?" Max slaps her (Maggie is listening to all of this). Max has his 2nd drink since he threw his wife out. He tells Jacqueline the story of how he found her in bed with a business associate of his. Max asks Maggie "How can I make you love me?" Dave asks Laslo to help him break into Max' apartment. Laslo agrees to help. They break in during a ferocious thunderstorm. The power fails, but Simms tells Max that the auxiliary power is up and the alarm system is still working. Laslo steals the key to the Surveillance Room from the book in the library and then he and Dave go the SR to disable the security system. Max tells Maggie that the alarm system is off and she tries to sneak into the SR, but is scared off when she hears Laslo and Dave. Dave sneaks into Maggie's room and she returns and finds him and they embrace. Max discovers that the security system is off and he turns it back on. Laslo tells Dave they have to get out. Simms watches Maggie on the cameras in her bedroom. Jacqueline comes in with the news that the key is missing from the library, but when Max goes to see, the key is back (Laslo replaced it while she was upstairs). Max is very angry with Jacqueline for lying. A brick is thrown through the window of the deli and hits Pru. A note is attached which says, "We're watching you punk!" Sydney tells Pru to move in with her (she doesn't approve of Rick), but Pru refuses. "Where were you when I needed you?", and criticizes Sydney on her morals. --> Allen <-- ihnp4!ihuxb!alle
