---------------------------------------------------------------------- Wednesday, October 31 Liz overhears Neil getting into a poker game over the phone. (Neil used to be a compulsive gambler). Melissa arrives at Beefcakes with her friend. They join other friends there and they tell Melissa she has to stay and see all of the dancers and they won't let her leave until she does. Pete is backstage at Beefcakes before his dance starts and he tells Madame duPre that this is his last night. Larry comes home from Washington and Hope tells him she wants a divorce now that it has been revealed that Larry is the son of a spy. Larry tells Hope that he will need her now more than ever, to help get his campaign back on track. Roman shows Marlena the other packages he has received from Stephano. He and Bo tell her that Andre is probably in Salem by now and it could be him sending the packages to Roman. Bo calls Hope and tells her about the packages that Roman has been receiving and that they think Andre is in Salem and Stephano might still be alive. Hope tells Bo she is going to the Salem Inn to make a speech for Larry. Larry overhears Hope say to the person on the phone (he thinks it is Alice, Hope's grandmother) that Will told someone that since Welch's father was a spy, the cartel probably wouldn't need Larry any more. Larry asks Will if he said that and Will tells him yes. Larry punches Will out. Hope gets a big kick out of that. There is a costume party at the Salem Inn. The Salem Inn is also the campaign headquarters for Larry Welch. Colliope and Eugene arrive at the Salem Inn and Colliope is dressed as a pumpkin. They see Tony DiMera there and Tony tells them that his mother and her nurse Miss Honeycutt are on their way up from Florida and they will be going to Haiti with them. Shane and Abigail (Andre's assistant) run into one another at the Salem Inn. They don't know one another, but they are both from Britain and they start talking about it. Abigail tells Shane she is a theatrical dresser and she mentions the name of a theater in London where she worked. Shane excuses himself and makes a phone call. He asks the person on the other end what theater Andre worked in while in London. The name matches that which Abigail gave. Kimberly shows up at the Salem Inn and accidently bumps into Shane. He asks if he may buy her a drink and she accepts. Abigail leaves at that moment and Shane tells Kimberly he must leave and he rushes out the door after Abigail. Carlo tells Liz that the reporter called and confirmed her TV spot for the interview with Liz. Carlo tells Liz that they will be coming into the house with cameras to do a day in the life of a rising star. Liz tells Neil she would like Neil and Noel to be in the interview with her and Neil tells her he does not want anyone invading his privacy and he will have no part of it. He storms out and goes to his poker game. Neil is afraid of being recognized on national television. Melissa recognizes Pete and stands up and calls out his name. He stops dancing and she runs out. He tries to run after her, but he is pushed back up on stage to finish his act. He runs out the back as soon as he is done. Larry Welch makes his statement at the Salem Inn. He tells the people he is not responsible for his father's actions and he was just a small child at that. He pleads with them to allow him to serve his country as Leiutenant Governor for the state. Hope makes her speech in favor of Larry. The audience claps for them when they have finished. Meagan is in the audience and she looks pleased. Shane follows Abigail and listens at the door of the shabby room where Andre and Abigail are staying. Shane hears Andre tell Abigail of his plan to get to Haiti. Meagan calls Stephano and tells him that Daphne DiMera will be on the airplane to Haiti with the rest of them. She also tells him that Larry performed perfectly in front of the reporters and she was pleased with his performance. Marlena picks up the ringing telephone and it is a person-to-person telephone call for Roman from Haiti. Marlena calls Roman down and he takes the call. The person on the other end is a Brother Andrew, that Roman apparently knows. Brother Andrew tells Roman that he has some information for him and he must come to Haiti. Brother Andrew tells Roman he will give him the details about the Phoenix when Roman arrives in Haiti. Roman tells Brother Andrew that he will be there. A man is holding a gun to Brother Andrew's head as he hangs up the telephone. Pete catches up with Melissa at the Salem Inn. She screams at Pete to stay away from her. Melissa tells Pete he is a liar and she throws her drink in his face. She tells him that it is over between them forever. Marlena starts crying when she hears Roman tell Brother Andrew that he will go to Haiti. She tells him she doesn't want him to go, but he tells her that if Brother Andrew has some valuable information about Stephano, he must go.
