To celebrate his arrival in the U.S., a friend of a
Hispanic immigrant took him to a ball game. Afterwards,
the friend asked the newcomer what he thought of the
American way of life. "I just can't believe how
kind and helpful everyone is", he replied. When pressed
for details, he said, "Didn't you notice? At the beginning
of the game, everyone got up and asked me, 'Jose, can you
see?'"
