---------------------------------------------------------------------- Monday, November 12 Miss Honeycutt informs everyone that Daphne doesn't look good at all and she thinks Daphne is nearing the end. She tells Andre that Daphne is calling for Tony. Melissa walks into Pete's apartment and sees her mother in bed with Pete. Melissa runs out. Linda turns to Pete, who is still passed out, and says, "Well, that ends your relationship with my daughter." Linda starts crying and says, "My daughter, my baby." Tony regains consciousness. The native woman who is taking care of Tony does not speak English, but Tony sets about teaching her some words. Linda meets Alex at The Salem Inn for lunch. She tells him she just took care of some business that she doesn't want to discuss. Melissa gets home and starts screaming and crying. She throws things around and against the walls. Daphne tells Colliope that she wants her to have the crystal necklace. Colliope tells Daphne she is going to find the necklace and put it around Daphne's neck. One of the waiters from Shenanigan's goes up to Pete's apartment and asks him if everything is alright between he and Melissa. He tells Pete that he saw Melissa run out of Shenanigan's and she looked upset. Colliope asks Andre, who she thinks is Tony, what he did with the crystal necklace. She tells him she wants to put it around Daphne's neck. Andre doesn't understand what she is talking about until she reminds him that she gave him the necklace before the plane crashed. He tells her he must have lost it when the plane crashed. Daphne makes mention to Liz of Tony's real father Enrico. She gives Liz the ring Enrico gave to her. Liz reluctantly accepts it. She thinks Tony should have it, but Daphne tells her he wouldn't wear it because it is a woman's ring. Alex and Linda read in the newspaper about Anderson Manufacturing's stock hitting rock bottom. Linda gets really angry and blames it all on Melissa selling her shares so low. Linda tells Alex that she is going to fix Melissa. She tells Alex to tell everyone that he was with her in Denver until just that moment. Alex agrees and asks why Linda wants him to lie for her. She tells him she is going to make Melissa think she is going crazy. Pete goes to Melissa's house and asks her what is wrong because he heard she ran through Shenanigan's looking upset. Melissa tells him to get away from her because she hates him and she thinks he is scum. He doesn't understand why she is so mad at him. He tells her he didn't do anything this time for her to get mad at him and she tells him she saw him in bed with her mother and that she thinks he is trash and she slaps him across the face and tells him she never wants to see him again. She runs out of her house and Pete still doesn't understand what she is talking about. Alex tells Linda that since it looks like everyone that was on the plane may be dead and the major part of Anna DiMera Designs was on that plane (Anna, Colliope, Tony), they should sell the company now since they own half of it. Alex suggests they sell to a really large designer like Calvin Klein or someone like that, before everyone figures out that they have no designs to show and can't possibly run a dress design company. Linda agrees they should get a lawyer on it right away and sell before there is a possibility of anyone from the plane crash coing back alive. Anna tries to tell Bo who Andre is, but Miss Honeycutt comes up behind Anna and tells her that if she breaths another word, she will stick her with a hypodermic needle that will put her away. Anna can't believe that Miss Honeycutt is on Andre's side, but Miss Honeycutt tells her she is and that Andre has a knife also and if Anna wants to live, she had better keep her mouth shut. Daphne dies and Andre does his best performance playing a bereaved Tony. They men bury Daphne and they all lay palm leaves on her grave. Liz sings Amazing Grace and everyone cries. Melissa goes to the docks and is crying hysterically. Barry Reed (Tess's husband who is in Salem working for Meagan Hathaway as her chauffer) comes up behind Melissa and gives her a kleenex and a shoulder to cry on. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marie Carey ...seismo!carey
