---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday, November 13 Neil passes out drunk on his couch. Danielle wakes him up and tells him there is still no news of the plane. She tells him to take charge of his life and to quit drowning his sorrows in the bottle. Neil tells Danielle he has nothing to live for since Liz is gone. He tells her that he would forgive Liz for an affair if she would just come back alive. He tells Danielle that he did quite a few rotten things in his time and Liz stuck by his side, so she deserves at least that from him. Danielle assures Neil that Liz will come back alive and that Neil does have something to keep sober about in the mean time, and that is he and Liz's daughter Noel. Neil agrees and tells Danielle that he will stay sober for her sake, because she needs him now that her mommy is gone. Marlena tells Kimberly that Roman called and said that he couldn't find Brother Andrew, but he is going to stay in Haiti until he finds out something about Stephano and what happened to Brother Andrew. Alex tells Gwen that he wants to retain her as his attorney and he wants her to work on finding prospective clients to buy Anna DiMera Designs. He gives her a large retainer (lots 'o bucks). Danielle rereads the letter from Carlo to Liz while Neil is taking care of Noel. Danielle starts a fire in the fireplace and throws the letter in the fire. Danielle asks Neil why he has not gone to the hospital since she has been there and he tells her he was taken off the duty roster because he was drinking on duty. Neil tells Danielle that he was drinking because he was afraid that Liz and everyone would somehow find out who he really is. Danielle tells Neil that he has built a life here in Salem with family and friends and that he can't risk those men coming to Salem and taking all that away from him. She suggests to Neil that when Liz comes back, that he take Liz and Noel away and go live somewhere else. Neil tells Danielle he can't run for the rest of his life and he couldn't do that to Liz and Noel. Larry sees Shane at The Salem Inn and asks him why he isn't working as his butler anymore. Shane tells him that Jonathan Carlton relieved him of his duties. Larry goes to Gwen's house and tells her he loves her and he needs her and he wants them to be together. Gwen tells Larry that she was the one who leaked the information about Viktor Chervot to the press. Larry yells at Gwen that her information could have cost him his life. Gwen tells Larry that she couldn't stand waiting in the shadows for Larry all the time and that she hated having to settle for being just his mistress and that she wanted him to lose the election so that they might have had a chance at a future together. Larry leaves and Gwen starts crying. Tom Horton goes to see how Neil is doing. Neil asks Tom if he may return to work at the hospital. Tom tells Neil that he may, only if he thinks he can handle it without drinking. Neil assures him he can stay sober and he is going to do it for Noel's sake, because she needs him now more than ever. Shane stops by Marlena's house and Kimberly tells him that Marlena is with the twins and she will be down in a minute. Kimberly tells Shane that she knows he was watching her for some time and he probably knows what she does for a living (prostitute) and she wants to know what Shane wants to keep quiet about it. Shane tells Kimberly that her secrets are no concern of his. He assures her that he was just concerned about her safety from Stephano's people and he was concerned about the pictures that she took of Stehpano's island and getting those negatives before Stephano's people did. Marlena comes down and Shane tells her he just stopped by to tell her that he was going to go down to Haiti first and then Stephano's island and as soon as he finds Roman in Haiti, he is going to send him home. Marlena is grateful to Shane for that and tells him to take care of himself while he is down there. Larry comes back to Gwen's house and tells her he was driving around for an hour trying to hate her for what she did, but he couldn't. He tells her he loves her and he wants her to be his wife. Larry tells Gwen that his office called him in his car and told him that the Coast Guard called off the search for the plane and they had no hope of finding it. He tells her that they should wait a respectable amount of time since Hope's disappearance and then get married. He tells Gwen that nothing matters if she is not by his side. Madame duPre sees Kimberly at The Salem Inn and she asks her to join her for lunch. Madame duPre tells Kimberly that she wants her to work for her as one of her call girls. Kimberly refuses but Madame duPre tells her that they had a mutual friend in Paris named Francois. Kim tells Madame that she doesn't know a Francois and she must be somehow mistaken, but Madame duPre tells Kim that she (Madame duPre) was Francois's lover in Paris and she helped him run his "business." (Francois was Kimberly's pimp in Paris.) Kimberly tells Madame duPre that she remembers Francois's lover as having short curly brown hair, not blond. Linda (Madame duPre) lifts up her veil and a piece of the blond wig to show her brown hair and Kimberly says, "Linda, oh my God." Linda then tells Kimberly that she has an interesting variety of tapes on Kimberly and some of her more kinky clients, one of them by the name of Hart Bennett. Kimberly says that would ruin Hart Bennett if anyone found out and she agrees to work for Linda. Kimberly tells Linda that no on must know what she does for a living and Linda tells her she wouldn't tell anyone because she has to keep her double life a secret also. Alex tells Marlena, Kimberly, Don, and Chris (who are having lunch at The Salem Inn, which Alex owns) that the Coast Guard called off the search for the plane because they think it went down in the Atlantic Ocean and it is lost forever. Marlena tells Don and Chris that thank God Roman and Shane are down there looking for them. Don asks her to explain and she tells he and Chris that Roman and Shane thought that Andre hijacked the plane to Stephano DiMera's island.
