Does anyone out there know for how long DARK SHADOWS ran?

(It's on The New Jersey Network Channels now and is just
beginning its second season.)

I think Dark Shadows ran for five years.  The first years were great,
and then there was a some kind of dispute (I believe with the writers)
at the beginning of the last season.  All kinds of changes were made
and the show was terrible.  What a sad way to go.
