---------------------------------------------------------------- Monday, December 3 Anna goes over to Tony's penthouse and asks Tony to go with her to meet with Alex and see about getting her company back. "Welch Crime Connection Revealed by Wife -- Resignation Demanded" is the headline on the front page of the Salem newspaper the day after Hope told all. Alex goes to see Gwen and he asks her how much trouble he is in for selling Anna DiMera Designs when Anna DiMera was not declared legally dead yet. Gwen tells Alex that if Tony, Anna, and Col- liope want to, they can ruin Alex for good. The Brady's plan on having a good old fashioned Irish wake for Roman. Larry is at Gwen's house when someone throws a large rock through Gwen's window and calls Larry a liar and a traitor. Larry asks Gwen if she still wants to stick by him and she says yes. He tells her it is not going to be easy and it will be a long hard road, but Gwen tells Larry that she loves him and Larry tells Gwen he is lucky to have such a wonderful and beautiful woman by his side. Neil tells Liz he knows about the affair that she and Carlo are having. Carlo walks in then and Liz tells him that Neil just ac- cused them of having an affair. Liz tells Neil that she never slept with Carlo and Neil tells her about the love letter from Carlo that he found in the dresser drawer while they were on the island. Liz tells Neil she knew nothing about a letter and Carlo explains that he wrote the letter because he was obsessed with Liz. Neil tells Carlo to get out and Liz tells Neil that Carlo saved her life on the island and that they can't just throw him out. Neil tells Liz that he is leaving then and he storms out of the house. Anna and Tony meet with Alex at The Salem Inn. They ask Alex how he could sell the company without even knowing if they were dead or not and Alex tells them he had to look out for his own in- terest in the company. Tony warns Alex that he will pay Anna back for the company or he will pay for it for the rest of his life. They then inform Alex that they are going to sue him for damages and for the right to use the name "Anna DiMera Designs" again. Anna goes over to Marlena's house to see her daughter Carrie. Anna asks Carrie if she wants to stay with Marlena or come live with her. Carrie tells Anna that she needs to stay around Eric and Samantha to let them know what their father Roman was like when he was alive. That really touches Anna and she tells Carrie that she loves her very much and she wants her to be happy, so Carrie can stay with Marlena and the twins if she likes. Carlo apologizes to Liz about the letter. Liz gets drunk on wine and she starts crying and telling Carlo that she has been through so much lately. She tells Carlo that Neil has changed so much in the past months and she just doesn't know how to reach him anymore. She tells Carlo she needs his help to find out who Neil really is and what he is hiding. Liz is very distraught and Carlo puts an arm around her and comforts her. Mickey Horton meets with Neil at the Salem Inn and Neil tells him that he and Liz are having problems and he just walked out on her. Mickey urges Neil to go back home and talk things over with Liz and work out the problems. Neil is having a drink and Mickey tells him that drinking won't solve the problems. Larry and Gwen arrive at the Salem Inn where Larry is going to hold a press conference. Larry announces his resignation as the Lieutenant Governor Elect. He tells the reporters that he had no idea where the money came from for his campaign, he just knew Maxwell Hathaway was backing his campaign. Larry does say that he was at fault for not asking where the money came from though. The reporters are relentless with questions and Larry tells them that he will answer no questions. One of the reporters asks Larry if Gwen Davies is his lover and Larry says that is enough and he leaves with Gwen. Carlo tells Liz that they have a bond from being on the island together and he tells Liz that he knows she has wanted him in the past. Liz tells Carlo that she can't deny that she has had fan- tasies about him. Carlo tells Liz that the reality is much better than the fantasy. He kisses her passionately and picks her up in his arms and carries her upstairs. Neil is still drinking at the Salem Inn. He gets up to leave and Alex asks him where he is going. Neil tells Alex he is going home because he has an apology to make.
