[] Robbery at the Wallingfords' is in progress. Tad & Hilary are upstairs in her room, not knowing that anything is wrong downstairs. Greg, there getting photos of the shindig for the Bulletin, is caught surreptitiously photographing the crooks. Robin breaks her date with Charlie, claiming a sick Mrs. Fargate needs her. Myrtle catches her, and forces Robin to go out with Charlie. Detective Young runs into Jesse, who was having trouble getting the other cops to believe that there is a robbery, and sends off the cavalry to the party. Hearing sirens approaching the house, Tad & Hilary figure they are coming for him, so he leaves. Jesse & Angie are reunited and they make plans for Jesse to move back home. Cops arrive at robbery, saving Greg from having his head blown off, and they shoot Vera's boyfriend, Bernie, dead. Chris and Rudy get away, but drop loot. Thinking that Jesse is still on their side, Chris & Rudy show up at Angie's house looking for shelter. Robin is bored to pieces by Charlie's fawning childishness. She was not thrilled with their date: a triple bill of horror movies at the mall, followed by a soda. Charlie, however, arrives home dancing on ai. Last shot: holding Angie & Pat hostage in the kitchen, Chris & Rudy hear Detective Young (doesn't this guy have a first name?) arrive, and he thanks Jesse profusely for going undercover and for all his help in stopping the robbery. By the way, there was a hint in this show that Vera might finally become a major character. Also, in case you were wondering, Chris the crook is indeed the Chris who arrived in town with Linda Warner. Laura Freeman tektronix!teklds!lauraf
