Tracy Van Zandt comes over to Tony and Anna's. She asks to talk with Tony alone. She gives Tony a newspaper clipping she found in her husbands stuff. [Meanwhile, Eugene is in the other room with Anna. He tells Anna that he's been working on a time machine and talks about going back to the night of the murder. She thinks he's crazy.] The 1980 clipping describes Mr. Van Zandt's companion in Monte Carlo as an American, blonde, named Anna. Tracy wanted to give it to Tony before the police found it. After Mrs. Van Zandt leaves, Tony asks Anna where she was in 1980. She tells him she was in Europe, but she wants to forget that part of her life. Tony shows her the clipping. Anna asks Tony if he believes that it wasn't her, he says he belives her. Pete and Todd rescue Melissa from the creep trying to rob her. Melissa tells Pete and Todd about the people in their apartment and that she called Hope. She tells Pete what Hope said about Pete's baby being sick. Pete calls the hospital and finds out that the baby needs a blood transfusion but he has a rare blood type. Of course, Pete decides to hitchhike to Salem while Melissa cries alot. Hope tells Norma about Melissa's phone call exposing McBride. They decide to tell Chief Cates. Cates comes into Shenanigans then, and they tell him. He asks if they've told anyone else, they say no. He tells them to meet him on the pier at 8:00 that evening, and not to tell anyone about this. Cates leaves. Bo comes in and Hope tells him everything, including the meeting later. Norma and Hope wait on the foggy, dark pier for Cates. Norma gets shot in the stomach. Bo arrives and chases the gunman, but loses him. Cates arrives. Hope stays with Norma. Norma tells Hope that she knows who shot her, and Chief Cates was with him. Norma konks out. Cates stares at Hope. Hope runs over to Bo, and is adamant about leaving, now! They leave with Cates following them. Jim Reed
