So, if the Imagewriter select light is on and you haven't put in paper, you're going to lose. On the other hand, if you tell MacPaint to print something and the select light on the Imagewriter is not on, the program hangs, waiting for the Imagewriter to be available. So far, so good, although it would be nicer if the program would tell you why it was hung. Unfortunately, if you change your mind about printing, there is no way to tell the program to abort the command. You have two choices: setup the Imagewriter and let the print continue (which it will as soon you turn on the select light) or else reboot the Mac. MacWrite is very "user friendly" when it comes to printing; MacPaint is very nasty!
