The Imagewriter is pretty good, many users will be willing (even eager) to pay more for letter quality. One possibility is to get a slow, cheap electronic typewriter with RS232 interface, and some software to support it. When might that software be available? Will Microsoft word provide it? Just using Macwrite in draft mode does not seem to be reasonable (right justification doesn't work). I think the ideal would be an upgraded version of the Imagewirriter, which could produce text as well as NEC's new "Pinwriter", yet provide full emulation of the standard Imagewriter in graphics mode. Has anyone heard of an effort to provide such an upgraded printer? If it does not become available soon, a lot of people are going to reluctantly purchase a Compaq and Pinwriter.
