SAS Institute Inc. is working on porting their products to several different machines and architectures I am curious about how many people on USENET would like to see these products run under UNIX(*). For those of you who do not know what SAS is, it is a data analysis system. It used to run only on big IBM machines, but the Institute is porting it to smaller machines. The VAX VMS and (sic) DG AOS/VS versions are in alpha test. 1. Would you be interested in SAS under UNIX? Do you do much statistical or data analysis? 2. Are you a University, a private or corporate research center, or a commercial center? 3. What machine configurations support UNIX at your site? (i.e. Processor type and memory size) 4. Would you mind participating in a more detailed survey? (If so, please include your US Mail address.) Thanks for your comments, John Carl Zeigler The SAS Institute, Inc.
