I heard the following conversation a number of years ago:

	"Define 'resistance'."
	"Resistance is what you have to overcome to
	get a girl to go to bed with you"  [I told you it
	was a number of years go!  I just tell 'em like
	I hear 'em --ARK]
	"No, that's impedance."
	"Why?"
	"Because it has a real part and an imaginary part."
