Way way back in the early 60's, when virgin vinyl was still an easy to come
by, Deutsche Grammophon in association with Reader's Digest released a 10
record set called "Concert Favourites in the Light Classical Tradition."
The following is a selection of the music contained therein:

Lohengrin, Prelude to Acts 1 & 3, Wagner
	La Traviata, Overture, Verdi
The Barber of Seville, Overture, Rossini
	Fidelio, Overture, Beethoven
The Marriage of Figaro,	Overture, Mozart
	Dance of the Hours, Ponchielli
	Valse from "Faust", Gounod
	La Mer, Debussy
	Daphnis et Chloe, Ravel
Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 in C-minor, Liszt
	Capriccio Italien, Tchaikovsky
	Radetzky March, Strauss
	Polovtsian Dances, Borodin
	Capriccio Espagnol, Rimsky-Korsakov
	William Tell, Overture, Rossini
Springtime for "The Four Seasons", Vivaldi
Brandenburg Concerto, No. 3, J.S. Bach
	Vltava (The Moldau), Smetana
Night on the Bare Mountain, Mussorgsky
	The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Dukas

My copy was borroded 2 years ago from my dear mother, and I would dearly
love to get my own copy. If anyone out there has a connection with either
D.G. or Reader's digest or can get a hold of a new copy of this collection
please let me know.
