Can anyone give me a pointer to some "flute and piano together" music. I haven't had much luck, not knowing where to start looking. thanks, Lynda houxz!llf

<> Try the Bach Flute Sonatas, BWV 1030 and 1032. They're of moderate difficulty, and quite delightful. They are written as "Flute and Harpishord" Sonatas rather than Flute with accompaniment. -- From the pooped paws of: Suk Lee ..!{decvax,linus,allegra,ihnp4}!utcsrgv!spoo

I play duets piano/flute weekly, (fun for the players, not for the listeners), and we find that much of the violin duet literature works very well. Beethoven and Mozart sonatas, Brahms as well (but that's harder). There is quite a bit of music for flute and piano, but it seems mostly to be for flute with piano accompaniment, which is less fun than a true duet. -- Martin Taylor {allegra,linus,ihnp4,uw-beaver,floyd,ubc-vision}!utzoo!dciem!mmt
