Long live Net.music.Classical. Felt like getting freedom after
a great fight.
This article is intended to kick off discussion in the following
interesting(atleast to me!) area in classical music.
So far I am basically familiar with East Indian Classical
Music, called the Carnatic Music. I am curious to learn about
other 'systems' of classical music.
My friend once told me that one of the interesting study
among musicologists is Comparative Study of Eastern and Western
Classical Music.
For us in the netland, this may range from exchange of
information on the Theory of various systems of Classical Music
and their heritage to an intellectual comparison of
various features available in different systems of music.
I sincerely hope that this will be a great learning experience
to all of us in this newsgroup.
I will start initiating specific topics once feeling of
general interest in this discussion is sensed.
