[net.music.classical] net.music.classical survey

wjm@whuxj.UUCP (MITCHELL) (05/14/84)

In re Mr. Rosen's reply to my comments about his survey, whence he objected to
my unhappiness about having to 'n' over many rock articles in net.music by
saying that every newsgroup has some articles one is not interested in, can
one reasonably expect a newsgroup to just contain articles of one's interest.
Of course not, but it is reasonable to be interested in *MOST* (I'll leave
the definition of MOST to the individual - suffice it to say that net.music
doesn't fit my definition of it). of the articles. When one starts getting
large numbers of Top 40 Rock articles one tends to thank the person who
invented the Shift-U command.
<end of flame>
On behalf of those of us who didn't answer the "survey" questions precisely
enough for its author - let me note that one is not required to answer
leading questions in a court of law, when the judge upholds the objection
of one of the attorneys.
<end of second flame>
Now, let's get on with the real purpose of net.music.classical, which is
to exchange views about classical music, a purpose which it is doing very
nicely, I'm glad to say. Let's keep up the good work.

Bill Mitchell
