Bill Mitchell and others have submitted articles lately on the subject of supertitles at the opera. This indicates that a number of net contributors are going to the opera, particularly on the East coast. I, for one, would like to ask these guys to post their feelings about the actual PERFORMANCES. Since I've found few reliable critics and have no chance to hear or see things at the Met or NYC opera, I'd be very interested to read opinions on what people heard and saw and how they liked it. The same for orchestral programs, solo recitals, etc. Maybe I'm an exception to this group, but I'd find such first-hand commentary on what was good or bad much more interesting reading than the kind of endless arguments about the theoretical validity of one person's opinions on atonality vs. tone rows vs. clusters, etc. - Greg Paley
