[net.music.classical] Fogging the Aire

ebh@hou4b.UUCP (Ed Horch) (09/25/84)

A followup to several articles posted about Mannhiem Steamroller
was recently posted by malik@delphi.DEC which sounded something
like this:

	"The sky is blue."

	No, it's not.

	"Water is wet."

You are obviously unfamiliar with water.

"The hand consists of a thumb and five fingers."

A med-school anatomy course won't teach you what
you really need to know about hands.

Now, rather than say, "Justify your responses," which would start
a flaming war here in a newsgroup that is historically free from
such idiocy (with the possible exception of this article :-)), I
would simply ask the poster of this enlightening contribution to
the Mannheim Steamroller discussion to mail me a list of examples
of what he considers "modern classical music." Upon receipt of
same, I will purchase and listen to said albums, assuming they're
available in the NY/NJ area, and draw my own conclusions.

Enuf sed,
