[net.music.classical] Looking for Mozart sonata #16, K331

hazard@ihuxe.UUCP (Bryant S. Hazard) (10/16/84)

I wish to purchase a recording of Moxart's piano sonata #16, K331.
Besides a good performance, I would also like to get a quality recording.
(It has to be the ONLY recording before I will buy CBS vinyl)
Does anyone out there have any recommendations?
Vinyl or compact disc.
Thanks,
Bryant S. Hazard

I think the piano sonata you refer to is #11, sonata in A. This
is the famous "Alla Turka" sonata. I have seen Philips advertise
a new CD containing the "Alla Turka" sonata. The performer is
Uchida. Who is Uchida? Anyone heard this performance?

Uchida? Who is Uchida?

Uchida' ve investigated it, shouldn'ta?

There is a nice recording with Gilels, an oldie (and crazy) one with Wanda
Landowska.
Enjoy!
