[net.music.classical] Rare records and where to get them.

Well, having had the chance to go to Southern California last weekend
(and re-discovering why I will never live there again :-)), I did some
record hunting. As some of you may recall, I have been looking for Group
87's first album for some time. Since I'm listening to it right now, I
must have found it, right? RIGHT! At one of the most amazing (and not
surprisingly, one of the most expensive) record stores in the world. To
wit (and apologies to those of you who've been trying to keep this a
secret):

		DISContinued Records
		444 So. Victory Blvd
		Burbank, CA 91502
		(213) 846-9192 (*MAY* have been changed to 818 area code)

Quite a place. Wouldn't have sold me the album had they not had two
---they always keep an archive copy. Office is amusing, lots of stacks of
obviously unfiled and OBSCURE stuff. Prices, however, are what are a drag.
You MUST want the record badly to buy it from them. Group 87 lists in the
used catalogs at $6, I paid $35. However, they will probably have what you
want.

I highly recommend trying them if you've exhausted your set of leads.
