[] What is the name of the Mozart piece that consists of variations on "twinkle, twinkle, little star?" Please reply via net as I'm sure lots of others besides myself would like to know. Someone who doesn't bother to read this news group just asked the same question. But she wanted a private reply so she wouldn't have to join the group. This sort of thing always gives me a pain. I can bother all of you to read my diddley-squat query, but don't expect me te bother myself to read your stuff which I cponsider beneath my interest. Anyhow, I'm serious about my query. I heard it several years ago on some radio station as a duet between flute and soprano and it was fabulous. p.s., I do read this group all the time. I learn a lot but am too dumb to contribute much. This is a followup to my query about the Mozart variations on "Twinkle twinkle little star". I received many responses that it is 'variations on "Ah, vous dirai-je, Maman"' K265. This may not be definite, since several people think it may be Haydn instead. Many thanks to those who responded.

The "twinkle, twinkle..." theme is in Variations for Piano on "Ah Vous Dirai-je Maman", a children's tune in many countries. Herman Silbiger
