A friend wants help in identifying the classical piece used in the last episode of the TV show M*A*S*H (the special one). She is not musically literate, and I have not seen the show, so we need help. She says it was played (towards the end) by a group of Chinese POW's who did not otherwise play Western music. If you have seen the show and can identify the piece, reply to me at the USENET address below. -- Timothy Bowden, DCIEM {linus,ihnp4,uw-beaver,floyd}!utcsrgv!dciem!tjb or {allegra,ihnp4,linus,decvax}!utzoo!dciem!tjb

I cannot remember the K. number, but I have a nice old performance of on a London "ffrr" recording with R. Boyndge (I never can spell that guy's name :-) and the English Chamber Orchestra. -- ------- ...nz (ECL - we're here to provide superior computing) Washington University Engineering Computer Laboratory old style: ... ihnp4!wucs!nz new style: nz@wucs.UUCP

If so, I believe Major Winchester mentions the name of the piece a couple of times, so please view again and help out by posting. Thanks.
