[net.music.classical] Mozart's Requiem

My favourite interpretation is Bruno Walter's, with the NYPO,
Westminter Choir, and I. Seefried, Jenny Tourel, Leopold Simoneau and
?. Warfield (Odyssey/CBS, record and cassette available).

It is unique in its humanity (as most of Walter's recordings
are); depth and intensity of feelings; a perfect rendition of
the cosmic upheaval (Mozart's use of the D minor key had indeed such
connotations); yet, at the same time, not hectic or frenzied, but
ultimately peaceful.
