Site pyrcorp will be dropping all its outgoing modem lines on May 30th. The
machine is moving from its current function as the Sales & Marketing system
to VAR and ISV support. Sales & Marketing will get a new machine of their own
at the same time, but it will have only corporate mail/news connections.
Pyrcorp's incoming phone lines and L.sys file will not be changed, so sites
that call in to deliver bug reports and mail to Pyramid personnel may continue
to do so. But no mail will be forwarded to non-Pyramid-corporate sites unless
the receiving site does polling.
Sites that depend on pyrcorp for mail should switch to pyramid (the engineering
gateway) or to pyrtech (the RTOC system) as soon as possible. Send your request
to pyramid!postmaster or pyrtech!postmaster, respectively. I'll be personally
contacting all sites that have had recent traffic through pyrcorp to arrange
new connections.
