The LAN segment that contains tis.llnl.gov (UUCP:lll-tis) has been
intermittently disconnected and re-connected to the Ethernet bridge
that ties it to the site-wide backbone at LLNL, due to some telecom
equipment being moved. It has been re-connected, but performance is
nearly nil, having the effect of truncating mail messages and news
articles that have passed through. Mail/news sent to or through
lll-tis since about noon Tuesday 2/2/88 may be lost or damaged.
I hope that this will be fixed as soon as possible.

There were some instances of lost or damaged mail and news (SMTP/NNTP/TCP-UUCP only, not telephone UUCP), so if you're worried about any mail you sent to or through us on 2/2-2/3, it's best to re-send it.
