I'm looking forward to the day when I can look through an on-line TOC directory like this and be able to ask for more information. Wouldn't it be nice if we could ask for a synopsis of any item in a TOC, and then either peruse the article online (for a small fee), order a hard-copy of just the article, or of the entire issue to be delivered (paid by automatic EFT, of course). If the article was a book review, I could request the book; if I wanted to know more about the subject, I could request a periodical search by subject in the recent or not-so-recent past, and flip through those references too. Kind of an expert-systems mix of The Source, Dialog, and a large public library.
