if some of you can believe it, posting refer formatted version of the tocs of ieee toc is useful, but i would appreciate it if we could all be consistant in the use of refer? i'll do it if you do it. 1) please post, author's full name where ever possible. friends at purdue also conclude this. it's not necessary to truncate since refer can truncate information for you. there are times it helps when following up to have a full name. 2) it would be nice to have significant key words. in the case of ieee and acm pubs, its only a matter of copying them. it would be nice to have additional keywords and annotation, but i won't push this. wow, refer madness --eugene miya NASA Ames Research Center {hplabs,ihnp4,dual,hao,vortex}!ames!aurora!eugene emiya@ames-vmsb.ARPA

Sold! In the past, I have used the official journal table of contents to generate the TOC posted to the net. The keywords do not appear in the TOC, and the IEEE Transactions also abbreviate authors' first names. However, if you will, I will. If you can stand to thumb through the magazines looking for the next article, and can get them to lie flat while you type in the info, then so can I. Future postings of TOPLAS and Transaction on Software Engineering will have full names (when available) and keywords. -- *** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR SIGNATURE *** Jon Mauney mcnc!ncsu!mauney C.S.
