If you're looking for someone at Bell Labs, you can save a lot of usenet machines a lot of unnecessary traffic by dialing the Bell Labs operators directly. An easy way to reach someone at Bell Labs is to send them mail directly. ihnp4 has a database which contains an electronic address for most people here. For example, ihnp4!t.s.clark will reach me here. The name must contain a `.' to indicate that it is a real name rather than a login.
