I initiated the original net.geneology? proposal. There have been about a dozen responses, both in net.misc and by mail. All except one were affirmative. The negative vote said items relating to this topic should be discussed in net.misc until enough interest is shown (ie. Cousins taxonomy question discussed recently). I learned how to spell genealogy. The suggestion to call the group, if there is ever going to be a group, net.roots sounds good to me and to a few other folks. Solves the spelling problem.
