[net.origins] A challenge to creationists.

gjk@talcott.UUCP (Greg Kuperberg) (02/24/85)

Ok. While on the one hand, we have (or had) the equal-time laws in
Arkansas and Louisiana, which wish to give equal time to creation-science and
evolution-science, on the other hand we have A. Ray Miller, etc., who claim
that neither evolution nor creationism are scientific. There seems,
therefore, to be a definite difference of opinion between Mr. Miller and
Mr. Gish, who supported the Arkansas law in the courtroom. So I put it to
all creationists: What kind of political action in this case do you think
should take place? Don't discuss evolution, creationism, or scientists,
just state in clear English the law that you think should be passed.
Although you are welcome to post your reply, mailed replies will be
tabulated and posted shortly.
